October 2, 2024, Prime Minister’s advisor Jirayu Houngsub disclosed that Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and the delegation will leave from the Royal Thai Air Force Airport (Wing 6) at 1330hrs for Doha, the State of Qatar, to attend the 3rd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit during October 2-3, 2024.
On October 3, 2024, at 1020hrs (Doha local time), the Prime Minister will deliver a speech on behalf of Thailand, as former host of the 2nd ACD Summit in 2016 and as the next ACD chair, starting January 1, 2025. The Prime Minister would like ACD to be recognized as Asia’s platform for international policy discussion, especially among member states, to exchange views for mutual interest with understanding and trust. She also wished that ACD be a catalyst for further engagement to address global challenges and tackle geopolitical competition among major powers.
Thailand aspires to play its role as a bridge builder at the international stage through promoting collaboration between ACD and other cooperation frameworks in a bid to promote economic development and mutual trade and investment for shared and tangible prosperity of the Thais and people of member states.
