The Cabinet Secretariat has issued a Prime Minister’s Office Announcement regarding the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarini Siribajra Mahavajrarajadhida, as follows:
Government offices, state enterprises, Government agencies, and all educational institutions are to lower the national flag to half-mast for 15 days, starting on June 12, 2026.
Civil servants, state enterprise employees, and Government officials are to observe mourning for 15 days, starting on June 12, 2026. General public is requested to consider appropriate observance.
Office of the Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office, is assigned to appoint the Royal Funeral Organizing Committee, with the Prime Minister as Chair. Sub-committees will also be appointed, to be responsible for administration, ceremony arrangements, construction of the royal crematorium and related structures, royal carriages and palanquins, public relations, and security. Government agencies are to assign officials to attend the daily religious rites for 100 days.
Ministry of Culture (Fine Arts Department) will be responsible for the design, ceremonial arrangements, and construction of the royal crematorium
The Cabinet Secretariat is assigned to arrange ministerial duty rosters for attendance at the daily religious rites
Ministry of Interior and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration are assigned to organize public activities, i.e., merit-making, the public paying respect
The Public Relations Department is assigned to disseminate information on the royal duties and contributions of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarini Siribajra Mahavajrarajadhida, on a continuous basis, and to coordinate with Ministry of Foreign Affairs in preparing English translations
Ministry of Public Health and relevant agencies are assigned to prepare emergency response plans, including mobile medical units, coordination with volunteers and private foundations, and readiness of hospitals to provide 24-hour emergency support
The public is requested to consider appropriate participation in these activities
