
April 21, 2026, Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhnadirek disclosed that the cabinet, in its meeting today, acknowledged anti‑corruption measures concerning bribery, as proposed by the National Anti‑Corruption Commission (NACC).
The measures are as follows:
Accelerating implementation of the 20‑year National Strategy on preventing and suppressing corruption
Promoting and providing support to agencies responsible for investigation and prosecution of corruption cases
Disclosing public sector information and encouraging public participation
Determining policies for expediting legal reform
Improving work processes to prevent risks of corruption, bribery, and kickbacks
Developing information technology systems for public agencies with regard to approvals and authorizations
Promoting and supporting the private sector in resisting bribery
Campaigning to instill values of integrity and raise awareness against corruption and bribery
The Public Sector Anti‑Corruption Commission (PACC) has been designated as the ‘lead agency’ to drive forward these measures and coordinate with relevant agencies, i.e., Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, the Budget Bureau, the Comptroller General’s Department, Office of the Public Sector Development Commission, the Royal Thai Police, Anti‑Money Laundering Office, and other public and private organizations. PACC is also instructed to summarize and review overall implementation results and submit them to the Cabinet Secretariat within 30 days of notification for further consideration by the cabinet.
According to the Government Spokesperson, these measures are expected to effectively address chronic problem of bribery in the Thai society, thereby, enhancing the country’s image and strengthening investor confidence both domestically and internationally.
