
April 10, 2026, at 1030hrs, at the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Prime Minister and Minister Anutin Charnvirakul chaired the launching of the Road Accident Prevention and Reduction Command Center during the 2026 Songkran Festival.
According to the Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhnadirek, the Prime Minister and the Government attach great importance onfacilitating travel and ensuring public safety during Songkran, a long holiday when large numbers of people travel. The period of “7 Dangerous Days” has been designated from April 10–16, 2026, with the goal of reducing the number of accidents, injuries, and fatalities as much as possible.
