April 6, 2026, Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhnadirek disclosed that the cabinet, in its special meeting today, approved the Policy Statement of the Council of Ministers which comprises 5 key areas: (1) economy, (2) foreign affairs and national security, (3) society, (4) disaster management and environment, and (5) public administration and legal reform.

According to the Government Spokesperson, amid the high global uncertainty, particularly the Middle East tension, fuel and natural gas production and transport have been disrupted, supply has declined against rising demand, and energy prices have surged rapidly, all of which have impacted the overall economic system. At the same time, Thailand continues to face various challenges in both social, environmental, natural disaster, and security dimensions.

The Government strives to build upon immediate problem‑solving while simultaneously carrying out economic and social restructuring. Public administration will be undertaken in “clusters” which will encourage joint forces of the private sector and the people, with the role of Government shifting toward support and facilitation. Digital Government will continue to be developed and improved.

Under this ‘Cluster’ mechanism, public administration will be organized into five strategic groups as follows:

1. Macro economy, investment, and future industries

2. Production, trade, and services

3. Infrastructure, natural resources, and environment

4. Society and welfare

5. Foreign affairs and national security

The Government is all set to present its policy statement to the Parliament. Following the delivery of policy statements, an English translation will be prepared, and the public will be able to access the document via www.thaigov.go.th.
