PM to hand over more village and urban community funds

Government Spokesperson Tosaporn Serirak revealed that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is scheduled to preside over an event on “A New Million Increase: For Employments, Incomes, and Warm-hearted Families” on May 16, 2013 at Wat A-Hong Silawat Temple, Muang district, Bungkarn province. At the event, PM Yingluck will meet with committee and members of village and urban community funds, concerned agencies and institutions, and will hold a hand over ceremony of funds under the “New Million Increase” scheme to over 10,000 village and urban community funds all over the country.

Each village and urban community fund will be given another million Baht for the purpose.

The National Village and Urban Community Fund Office has been allocated 79,255 funds for the 3rd phase of village and urban community fund scheme at 1,000,000 Baht each. The 1st phase of the village and urban community fund was handed over on October 25, 2012 in Nonthaburi for 21,614 funds; and the 2nd phase in Chiang Mai on February 14, 2013 for 15,027 funds.
