The President of Hitachi expressed his pleasure to meet with PM Yingluck. He also informed PM that Hitachi had continuously invested in Thailand, its regional hub, and thanked the Thai Government for constant support provided to Hitachi Ltd.
PM Yingluck thanked the President of Hitachi for his confidence in Thailand’s potential, and hoped to expand cooperation with Japan in more diversified aspects of Japanese expertise. PM Yingluck also encouraged Japanese investors to jointly invest in the Thai infrastructure projects worth 67- billion US Dollar.
On this occasion, the President of Hitachi expressed interest in investing in the Thai Government’s transportation development project, and proposed advanced technology on high-speed rail system development which was Hitachi’s expertise. PM Yingluck requested Hitachi to compile information on the areas it wished to expand cooperation with Thailand for further consideration and mutual benefits.
