May 5, 2013, at 1900, at Santi Maitree Building, Government House, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, on behalf of the Thai Government, hosted the Samosorn Sannibat State Reception in honor of His Majesty the King on the occasion of the Coronation Day. Participating in the event were Mr. Anusorn Amornchat, PM’s spouse; cabinet members and spouses; privy counselors; speaker of the House of Representatives; president of the Senate; president of the Supreme Court, president of the Constitutional Court; president of the Supreme Administrative Court; president of the Election Commission of Thailand; chairman of the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand; Chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Commission; Chairman of the State Audit Commission; president of the Ombudsman Thailand; Attorney-General; political parties’ leaders; members of Parliament; members of the Senate House; Supreme Commander; Commander-in-Chiefs; Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police; military officers; police officers; judicial officers; government officials from independent organizations under constitution; political officials; civil servants; foundation presidents; chairpersons of philanthropic associations; private/business sector leaders; newspaper editor-in-chiefs; directors of television channels; diplomatic corps; leaders of international organizations; and honorary consuls.
When the auspicious time came, PM Yingluck took the stage, paid obeisance to H.M. the King’s royal portrait, opened the conical lid of the homage Krathong of flowers, and paid obeisance again.
PM Yingluck, then, humbly glorified and granted H.M. the King wishes. Detail as follows:
“May it please, Your Majesty, I, Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister, on behalf of the cabinet members and spouses, diplomatic corps, government officials, and Thai subjects from all walks of life, are truly happy to humbly gather here today and pay tribute to Your Majesty’s royal grace at the Samosorn Sannibat State Reception organized on the auspicious anniversary of the Coronation Day.
Your humble subjects are well aware of the inaugural royal pledge “I shall reign with righteousness for the benefit and happiness of the Siamese people” auspiciously given during your coronation on May 5, 1950. From then until now, for 63 years, Your Majesty has graciously demonstrated to the clear eyes of the Thais everywhere on your commitment in the royal duties of all kinds, gracious sacrifices of your time, energy, and wisdom to provide better livelihood to your subjects all over the country. Your gracious encouragement for all the Thais to follow the royal path of sufficiency economy and live a happy and peaceful life also makes your subjects throughout the country extremely grateful for Your Majesty’s boundless and gracious kindness.
On this auspicious occasion, may Your Majesty graciously bestow us, your loyal subjects, to humbly extend our best wishes, and to invite the virtue of the Triple Gems and the Holiness in the whole world to bless Your Majesty the King a long life, happiness, and royal glory that keeps stretching to the distance. May Your Majesty forever be our esteemed ruler and guardian. We have the honor to remain, with the profound respect, your Majesty’s most faithful and dutiful subjects.
Afterwards, PM Yingluck invited honorary guests to make a toast in honor of His Majesty the King. The Royal Anthem was played.
