Government publishes “Thailand’s Strategies”

Government Spokesperson held a press conference to announce that the Government has published 150,000 copies of a book “Thailand’s Strategies” as a report on the Government’s administration of state affairs for the past year as well as the future plans in order for all sectors to be well understood of Thailand’s strategies.

May 2, 2013, at 1010hrs, at the Government Press Center, Naree Smosorn Building, Government House, the Government Spokesperson Tosaporn Serirak held a press conference to announce that the Government, through PM’s Secretariat Office, had published a book “Thailand’s Strategies”.

According to the Government Spokesperson, the book “Thailand’s Strategies” contained 72 four-colored pages. It was published by PM’s Secretariat Office in order for all sectors, both inside and outside of the country, to clearly understand the strategies of Thailand for the preparation and planning of their work as part of the national development under the same direction. The book contained the Government’s performances from the first year when there were so many challenges such as global economic hardship. Content for the second year of PM Yingluck’s administration of state affairs would be about the Government’s national strategies which were 1) Capacity-building to enhance Thailand's competitiveness in the long run for sustainable growth. Development of logistics, infrastructure, and ICT for domestic and international connectivity; 2) to reduce social disparity and provide greater opportunities for the people based on economic, social, and political equality; 3) to promote the people's quality of life and environmentally friendly growth; and 4) to improve effectiveness in management, focusing on good governance and the preparation for the realization of ASEAN Community.

The Government Spokesperson added that starting next week, the Government would distribute 150,000 copies of the book “Thailand’s Strategies” to all sectors all over the country, name it, villages, educational institutions, private sector, commercial banks, libraries, and all government agencies. The Government would also further promote the book by uploading its content on the Thai Government website www.thaigov.go.th for easier access of the public.
