PM thanked cabinet members and Thai legal team on the Preah Vihear case

The Government Spokesperson revealed that PM thanked cabinet members and Thai legal team on the Preah Vihear case for their hard work on the case. He also informed the press on the reschedule of the next cabinet retreat to be held on June 9-10, 2013 in Kampaeng Phet.

April 23, 2013, at 1415hrs, at the Government Press Center, Naree Smosorn Building, Government House, the Government Spokesperson Tosaporn Serirak held a press conference following the cabinet meetingchaired by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. According to the Spokesperson, PM Yingluck mentioned during the meeting about Thai legal team's statement delivery to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) during a hearing on the Preah Vihear temple dispute and thanked cabinet members and Thai legal team on the Preah Vihear case for their hard work.

PM Yingluck also talked about cooperation from all sectors on the energy saving campaign which guided the whole nation through the crisis that the campaign must be continued, and one of the schemes to support the campaign was to promote the use of Thai fabrics which was the most suitable for Thai climate.

On the southernmost situation, PM Yingluck ordered all concerned authorities at the policy level to carry out their work through the Committee to Move Forward Policy and Strategy to Resolve Problems in Southern Border Provinces to ensure proper access to the field area, and assigned Ministry of Transport to look into the concern on transportation safety in the southernmost area.

The Government Spokesperson also informed the press on the confirmation of the cabinet meeting on April 30, 2013, and the reschedule of the cabinet retreat in Kampaeng Phet province from May 27-28, 2013 to June 9-10, 2013.
