PM to visit Mongolia and attend 7th Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies

April 22, 2013 at 0930hrs, at the Ivory Room, Thai Khu Fah Building, H.E. Mr. Chimeddorj Battumur, the Mongolian Ambassador to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on the occasion of his assumption of duty and to discuss about PM Yingluck’s state visit to Mongolia. Gist as follows:

The Mongolian ambassador first congratulated both nations on their cordial relations, and thanked PM Yingluck for her kind acceptance to attend the 7th Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies and a state visit upon the invitation made by the Mongolian President. According to the ambassador, PM Yingluck’s visit to Mongolia was truly significant in strengthening mutual relations and cooperation between the two countries particularly when Mongolia is in the midst of economic transition and development as well as promotion of trade & investment. The Mongolian Government was now ready to welcome PM Yingluck to the Country.

PM Yingluck expressed her pleasure to visit Mongolia and attend the 7th Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies. According to PM Yingluck, the Conference, which promoted democracy, would enable state members to exchange views and perspectives on democracy. PM Yingluck also thanked the Mongolian Government for their preparation to welcome her visit which marked the first state visit of a Thai Prime Minister to Mongolia. PM Yingluck also congratulated Mongolia for its potential and steady economic development, and Thailand was ready to boost cooperation in various areas with Mongolia such as trade, investment, agriculture, energy, mining, tourism, and automobile industry.
