PM attends luncheon with representatives of the Japanese private sector

May 24, 2013, at 1200hrs (local time), following a delivery of a keynote speech at the international conference on ‘The Future of Asia’, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra attended a luncheon hosted by the president of Nikkei Inc. at the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo.

Thai and Japanese PMs to push forward strategic development for regional connectivity

PM orders all ministries to introduce measures for economic solution

Prime Minister stated reduction of interest rate is a good measure, but would also like to see monetary stability especially the Baht value that is competitive comparing to the neighboring countries.

May 20, 2013, at 1815hrs, at the Chedi Hotel, Chiang Mai, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra hosted a dinner reception in honor of H.E. Moana Carcasses Kalosil, Prime Minister of the Republic of Vanuatu on his official visit to Thailand to attend the 2nd Asia-Pacific Water Summit.

Eight areas of cooperation agreed at the 2nd Thai–Lao Joint Cabinet Retreat

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and Premier Thongsing Thammavong of Lao PDR led the Cabinets of both nations to attend the 2nd unofficial Thai-Lao Joint Cabinet Retreat to reinforce close relationship of the two neighboring countries as well as development of cooperation in all dimensions and levels.

Mr. Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, on his state visit to Thailand to attend the 2nd Asia-Pacific Water Summit during May 17-19, 2013. An official welcoming ceremony was held with the review of honor guards, followed by discussion on state administration between the two leaders at the inner Ivory Room, Thai Khu Fah Building, Government House. PM’s Office Minister reaffirmed the Government’s intent to push forward Thailand as Asia’s transportation hub

May 15, 2013, at 1315hrs, at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok Hotel, Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Niwatthamrong Bunsongpaisal, presided over a seminar on “High-Speed Train to Turn Over the Face of Thailand: Connectivity = Opportunity” held on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of Prachachart Thurakit newspaper. Participating in the event were Transport Minister Chadchart Sitthipant, Prachachart Thurakit newspaper  and Matichon PLC Managing Director Piyachart Mongkolchaisit, as well as representatives from concerned public and private sectors, scholars, and press.

PM to hand over more village and urban community funds

Government Spokesperson Tosaporn Serirak revealed that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is scheduled to preside over an event on “A New Million Increase: For Employments, Incomes, and Warm-hearted Families” on May 16, 2013 at Wat A-Hong Silawat Temple, Muang district, Bungkarn province. At the event, PM Yingluck will meet with committee and members of village and urban community funds, concerned agencies and institutions, and will hold a hand over ceremony of funds under the “New Million Increase” scheme to over 10,000 village and urban community funds all over the country.
